Der Marktplatz ist einer der besten Ausgangspunkte, um Treysa zu verstehen. Hier verdichten sich Stadtgeschichte, Fachwerkarchitektur und öffentliches Leben. Rund um den Platz stehen Fachwerkhäuser, in der Mitte erinnert der Johannisbrunnen an die lange Geschichte dieses Ortes.
Besonders prägend ist das Rathaus mit seinem verschieferten Anbau und seinem sichtbaren Fachwerk. Bei einem Brand im Jahr 1640 wurde das Gebäude weitgehend zerstört; erhalten blieb nach heutiger Überlieferung vor allem die mit Bruchsteinen gemauerte Südseite.
Der Wiederaufbau war 1651 abgeschlossen. Diese Jahreszahl findet sich an der Wetterfahne mit dem Stadtwappen. Nach einer knapp zweijährigen Renovierung wurde das Rathaus Ende 2006 wieder seiner Bestimmung übergeben.
Für den Rundgang ist dieser Ort ideal: Von hier aus lässt sich der Blick in die Altstadt öffnen – hin zu Gassen, Fachwerk, Stadtkirche, Totenkirche und den weiteren Stationen der Treysaer Geschichte.
The market square is one of the best starting points for understanding Treysa. Here, town history, half-timbered architecture and public life come together. Half-timbered houses surround the square, while the Johannisbrunnen recalls the long history of this place.
The town hall is especially distinctive with its slate-covered extension and visible timber framing. In a fire in 1640, the building was largely destroyed; according to local information, mainly the southern side built of rubble stone survived.
The reconstruction was completed in 1651. This date appears on the weather vane together with the town’s coat of arms. After almost two years of renovation, the town hall was returned to use at the end of 2006.
For the walking tour, this place is an ideal beginning: from here, the view opens into the old town – towards lanes, half-timbered houses, the town church, the Totenkirche and the further stops of Treysa’s history.
La place du marché est l’un des meilleurs points de départ pour comprendre Treysa. Ici se rejoignent l’histoire urbaine, l’architecture à colombages et la vie publique. Des maisons à colombages entourent la place, tandis que le Johannisbrunnen rappelle la longue histoire du lieu.
L’hôtel de ville marque particulièrement l’ensemble, avec son annexe couverte d’ardoises et son colombage visible. Lors d’un incendie en 1640, le bâtiment fut en grande partie détruit ; selon les informations locales, la partie sud maçonnée en moellons fut surtout conservée.
La reconstruction fut achevée en 1651. Cette date apparaît sur la girouette avec les armoiries de la ville. Après près de deux ans de rénovation, l’hôtel de ville fut remis en service à la fin de l’année 2006.
Pour le circuit historique, ce lieu constitue un excellent départ : d’ici, le regard s’ouvre vers la vieille ville, ses ruelles, ses maisons à colombages, l’église municipale, la Totenkirche et les autres étapes de l’histoire de Treysa.
La plaza del mercado es uno de los mejores puntos de partida para comprender Treysa. Aquí se concentran la historia urbana, la arquitectura de entramado de madera y la vida pública. Casas entramadas rodean la plaza, mientras el Johannisbrunnen recuerda la larga historia de este lugar.
El ayuntamiento destaca especialmente por su ampliación revestida de pizarra y su entramado visible. En un incendio en 1640, el edificio quedó destruido en gran parte; según la información local, se conservó sobre todo el lado sur construido con mampostería de piedra.
La reconstrucción finalizó en 1651. Esta fecha aparece en la veleta junto con el escudo de la ciudad. Tras casi dos años de renovación, el ayuntamiento volvió a utilizarse a finales de 2006.
Para la ruta histórica, este lugar es un inicio ideal: desde aquí se abre la mirada hacia el casco antiguo, sus callejuelas, casas entramadas, la iglesia municipal, la Totenkirche y las demás estaciones de la historia de Treysa.
