Der Bahnhof Treysa erzählt eine andere Stadtgeschichte als Fachwerk, Kirchen und Stadtmauern. Mit der Eisenbahn wurde Treysa stärker mit der Region und der weiten Welt verbunden. Menschen, Waren, Nachrichten und neue Möglichkeiten kamen nun auf Schienen in die Stadt.

Bereits beim Bau der Main-Weser-Bahn erhielt Treysa Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts einen Bahnhof. Der heutige Bahnhof wurde am 1. Oktober 1908 eröffnet. Er entstand, weil die alten Anlagen zu klein geworden waren und Treysa sich zu einem bedeutenden Bahnknoten entwickelte.

Wichtig waren neben der Main-Weser-Bahn auch die Verbindungen der sogenannten Kanonenbahn in Richtung Eschwege/Leinefelde und der Knüllwaldbahn nach Bad Hersfeld. Damit war Treysa zeitweise an mehrere Bahnstrecken angebunden. Südlich des Personenbahnhofs entstanden Rangier- und Betriebsanlagen mit Lokschuppen und Drehscheibe.

Heute erinnert der Bahnhof an Wandel und Mobilität. Er ist nicht nur ein Ort des Ankommens und Abfahrens, sondern ein Zeichen dafür, wie sehr Eisenbahn und Verkehr die Entwicklung Treysas geprägt haben. Wer hier steht, sieht Treysa nicht als abgeschlossene Altstadt, sondern als Stadt im Netz der Verbindungen.

Treysa station tells a different kind of town history from half-timbered houses, churches and town walls. With the railway, Treysa became more closely connected with the region and the wider world. People, goods, news and new opportunities now arrived in the town by rail.

Treysa already received a station during the construction of the Main-Weser Railway in the mid-19th century. The present station opened on 1 October 1908. It was built because the older facilities had become too small and Treysa had developed into an important railway junction.

In addition to the Main-Weser Railway, the so-called Kanonenbahn towards Eschwege/Leinefelde and the Knüllwaldbahn to Bad Hersfeld were important. For a time, Treysa was connected to several railway lines. South of the passenger station, shunting and operating facilities with locomotive shed and turntable were built.

Today the station recalls change and mobility. It is not only a place of arrival and departure, but a sign of how strongly railway and transport shaped Treysa’s development. Standing here, one sees Treysa not as a closed old town, but as a town within a network of connections.

La gare de Treysa raconte une autre histoire urbaine que les maisons à colombages, les églises et les remparts. Avec le chemin de fer, Treysa fut davantage reliée à la région et au vaste monde. Des personnes, des marchandises, des nouvelles et de nouvelles possibilités arrivèrent désormais en ville par les rails.

Treysa reçut déjà une gare lors de la construction de la Main-Weser-Bahn au milieu du XIXe siècle. La gare actuelle fut ouverte le 1er octobre 1908. Elle fut construite parce que les anciennes installations étaient devenues trop petites et que Treysa s’était développée en un important nœud ferroviaire.

Outre la Main-Weser-Bahn, les liaisons de la dite Kanonenbahn vers Eschwege/Leinefelde et de la Knüllwaldbahn vers Bad Hersfeld furent importantes. Pendant un temps, Treysa fut reliée à plusieurs lignes ferroviaires. Au sud de la gare voyageurs furent aménagées des installations de triage et d’exploitation avec remise à locomotives et plaque tournante.

Aujourd’hui, la gare rappelle le changement et la mobilité. Elle n’est pas seulement un lieu d’arrivée et de départ, mais un signe de l’influence du chemin de fer et des transports sur le développement de Treysa. Ici, Treysa n’apparaît pas comme une vieille ville fermée, mais comme une ville dans un réseau de connexions.

La estación de Treysa cuenta una historia urbana distinta a la de las casas entramadas, iglesias y murallas. Con el ferrocarril, Treysa quedó más conectada con la región y con el mundo exterior. Personas, mercancías, noticias y nuevas posibilidades llegaban ahora a la ciudad por las vías.

Treysa ya recibió una estación durante la construcción de la Main-Weser-Bahn a mediados del siglo XIX. La estación actual fue inaugurada el 1 de octubre de 1908. Se construyó porque las instalaciones antiguas se habían quedado pequeñas y Treysa se había convertido en un importante nudo ferroviario.

Además de la Main-Weser-Bahn, fueron importantes la llamada Kanonenbahn hacia Eschwege/Leinefelde y la Knüllwaldbahn hacia Bad Hersfeld. Durante un tiempo, Treysa estuvo conectada a varias líneas ferroviarias. Al sur de la estación de pasajeros se construyeron instalaciones de maniobras y explotación con depósito de locomotoras y plataforma giratoria.

Hoy la estación recuerda cambio y movilidad. No es solo un lugar de llegada y salida, sino una señal de cuánto influyeron el ferrocarril y el transporte en el desarrollo de Treysa. Quien está aquí ve Treysa no como un casco antiguo cerrado, sino como una ciudad dentro de una red de conexiones.
